The Baton Exchange ("The Baton Exchange," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Baton Exchange mentoring program and this portal, based in 543 W. Rich St., Columbus, OH 43215.
We collect account details (name, email, phone number, and, where applicable, mailing address), information you provide about your goals, background, interests, and mentoring preferences, and technical data needed to authenticate and operate your account.
We use this information to operate the mentoring program: matching mentors and mentees, scheduling and coordinating meetings, sending program updates, and providing support. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data are used only to deliver the text messages you have opted into (see SMS Terms below) and are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping, unless a longer period is required by law.

By providing your mobile number and opting in -- in your account notification settings or during sign-up -- you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from The Baton Exchange at that number.
Meeting and scheduling reminders, new mentor candidates ready for your review, notes and messages posted to your account, status changes in the program, and occasional program news or updates. You control which categories you receive by text through your Notifications settings.
Message frequency varies based on your activity in the program. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. The Baton Exchange is not responsible for carrier charges.
Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe at any time, or turn off texting from your Notifications settings. After you opt out you will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts unless you re-subscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at receiveit@thebatonexchange.com.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and opt-in consent data are not sold, rented, or shared externally, other than with our messaging service provider solely to deliver these messages on our behalf.
